Making A Slip Knot
The first step in knitting is to get a slip knot on to your knitting needle.

There are two main methods of knitting: American (also known as English) and Continental. Some people find it easier to start with American but it is widely believed that Continental is a faster way to knit. Just begin with whichever method works best for you!
