Basic Spinning
Start with wool in its rawest form and work it magically into fabulous hand-made yarn.  This class covers both drop spindle and wheel spinning; so even without a wheel, you will be able to do this at home.  You can purchase wool roving and a drop spindle at the Stitch Café, approx. $20. Rigid Heddle Weaving
Weaving
Explore basic weaving techniques to make a pillow panel, purse panel or sampler. John will teach you to to work with a Rigid Heddle Loom.   Bring a variety of yarn from your stash, plus scissors, and a tape measure. Warp yarn will be chosen from Stitch Cafe prior to class for a small additional fee. Space is limited to the number of available looms. Registration Form

Kimono
Annie will teach you this fabulous technique for using many yarns or one to make a one-of-a-kind kimono jacket. Bring your scraps or buy yarn before the class.  It starts with just six stitches and grows to whatever size you need.  Whatever you choose will look gorgeous when it comes off the needles.  It is like magic! Magic Loop Knitting

Magic Loop is the alternative to double pointed needles for making sleeves, hats, socks and any other tube knitting. Myra makes learning to use it easy. Once you learn this technique you will find many other uses for it, and may never use double pointed needles again. You will need yarn and a very 47" or 60" circular needle. Introduction to Polymer--Natasha Bead Key Ring
Intro to Polymer While you work with clay to design and form a Natasha bead, you will also learn the more involved concepts, methods and tools used in this exciting medium. When you complete this class, you will understand how fabulous art and jewelry can be formed with this unique material. Your beautiful and unusual Natasha bead can be made into a key ring or hung as a pendant around your neck. Bing one package of colored clay, (no transleucent colors), either Primo (available at Michaels) or Kato Polyclay (available on-line), a ruler, a clay blade (not flexible type). Introduction to Precious Metal Clay, Intermediates welcome--you will learn more!
Intro to PMC Precious Metal Clay is an amazing substance that allows you to work with silver or gold embedded within a clay which melts off duting firing, leaving your fabulous precious metal creations. In this intensive workshop you will begin to master PMC as you learn how to form jewelry, create texture, rehydrate dry material. After kiln-firing your original piece, the class will cover various finishing methods including wire brushing, burnishing and patinas. $40 materials fee is payable to the instructor in class.  Bring a snack or sack lunch.   WAIVER REQUIRED.
